You've probably heard the words blunt, joint, and spliff thrown around like they're all the same thing.
They are not. Shocking, I know. Apparently the weed dictionary has more depth than "the thing you smoke."
So what's the difference?
1. Joint
A joint is a cannabis rolled cigarette, usually rolled in rolling paper that's made from hemp, or rice. That's it. No tobacco included.
TL;DR: Weed + rolling paper = joint. Science has spoken.
2. Blunt
A blunt is basically cannabis rolled in a cigar or cigarillo wrapper, which is usually made from tobacco leaf.
Modern usage can vary, some uneducated people use "blunt" more loosely (see: ralsei smoking a fat blunt), so if someone starts a heated argument about the definition, congratulations: you have discovered the internet.
TL;DR: Cannabis + cigar-style tobacco wrapper = blunt.
3. Spliff
A spliff is a mixture of cannabis and tobacco rolled together in rolling paper.
The best part is the tobacco is mixed in with the cannabis, how fun!
TL;DR: Cannabis + tobacco + rolling paper = spliff.
